M. Ibrahim and the Flowers of the Koran - Paris

Paris, in the sixties. To escape a loveless family, Momo, a twelve-year old Jewish boy, befriends the old Arab grocer in the Rue Bleue. But appearances are deceptive: Monsieur Ibrahim is not an Arab, Rue Bleue isn’t blue, and ordinary life may not be so ordinary... A moving, funny story about a lad who speaks his mind and the Arab corner shop on his street. How does one escape from loneliness and the curse of misfortune? How do you learn to smile?

A story that has gone round the world.
